This site started as an effort from the Parish of Saint Patrick in Bay Shore, NY, in order to bring you a small weekly catechesis based on the Scriptures, the Catechism and the Tradition of the Catholic Church.
As the purpose of this site is to plant small doses of catechism on the faithful so they can have their knowledge of their faith grow, we chose the name as “A Mustard Seed”, taken from our Lord’s parable of the mustard seed, “…which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree” (Matthew 13:31-32)
The authors include faithful catholic, articles are reviewed by a Theology Master and finally approved by a priest before publication.
